Do the twist

Today's moto adventure took me to Mt. Hamilton, outside of San Jose. This thing is over 4000ft, which is pretty impressive when you consider that you can see the sea atop it. No wonder they put an observatory there. As you might imagine, a road that starts from an elevation of 400ft and crosses here is bound to be squiggly, and this one does not disappoint:

Zoom in and check out the squiggles. Once you pass the observatory, it gets remote. Temps in the low-90's, which made me realize that I am not in Seattle anymore. As did the snakes sunning themselves in the middle of the road (missed) and large turkey families feeding on the road's shoulders. 150 miles door to door, and back in time for a late lunch. Wahoo.
