New Years Eve was spent walking loops around Venice, making a great meal, then walking down the Grand Canal as the snow started to fall for the first time.
Had some great skiing in the Alps, though. Am glad that your snow situation reversed itself in the Pacific West (North for you, South for me). Night skiing would have been pretty great, but in Venice that would have been night water skiing, and that water just does not look safe...
