Recent ski outings are making me a firm believer in the 'quiver of skis' concept. Last night, I joined a group at the pass for some more night skiing. It was good. Very good. Unusually powdery snow and lots of it. The groomers were soft. Shoot, the moguls were soft. The camera phone photos are just from a blue run; once we started dropping in chutes off the runs, knee deep and higher was common.
Anyhow, between this and Utah a few weeks ago, I see a fatter ski in my future. The 'special day' ski. I've been tossed around terms like 'need' and 'important'. Anyhow, you've been warned...
