Dawn Patrol

Another Saturday morning without cartoons. Giro Dave and I explored a little deeper into West Seattle this time, and even got some off pavement peddling in. As a general rule, don't do gravel with 700x23 tires; not stable. Also, that slog from the waterfront to the top of Admiral is a tough way to end the day. Big hill. Still, a good ride was had, wind and all.

Giro Dave is the ultimate bike consumer; now I hear plans for a second single-speed? What about superbike 2? You're going to need a bigger car to get them all tuned, Giro.

Miles ridden (tifighter): 18.63

Avg. Speed: 13.44 mph

Max Speed: 24.0 mph

Number of times I live vicariously through Giro's next bike plan: >100

does this mean we need cross bikes now? I guess they can be on the list. But do they come before the Dutch bike?

Oh nuts, I forgot about our CX conversation. I hope that I can cover CX and touring with one bike. Dutch bike happens after I win the lottery. Exactly how many bikes CAN you get in the back of an Element?

Number of bikes you can get into a car you don't and never will own: who cares?

Valid point, Ellie, but if you get one in brown, they sorta look like a UPS truck. Wait, I'm not helping, am I? Sorry Dave...

OK boys...I heard the word cyclocross in there. Sept. 22 - starcrossed at the velodrome and a beer garden. If you have ANY remote interest, that's the one...super spectator fun for carnage watching and did I mention the beer garden?
