Thursday is always a good day for a 362 mile ride, and last Thursday was as good as any other, so why not? The Fonz and I hit the road, roughly circling the Olympic peninsula with stops in between. I'm glad there were two of us for this one, because it can get pretty isolated out there. It is easy to forget that things can get spooky in less than a 100 mile radius from Seattle.
The good: My parents' garden seems to be coming along. The coast is still doing its thing. Lake Crescent is very nice. Everything seems in order. I had a root beer float (coke floats are for gomers).
The bad: My rear needs breaks every 2 hours max. A bee flew into the collar of my jacket and stung my neck twice. I almost ran over a chipmunk.
See you on the next ride.

I was real happy to see Jan and Bill again. They have always been great to me and I appreciate that. Was there ever a dull moment when I went to their house? Never!!! I spent everyday of my young adult life with them...thanks again! I think it's been 8 years since I've seen those two 'kids' which is way too long. Hanging out with them took me back to the days of making trouble.
...or maybe those where those the days of making the girls cry. I bet they could tell you a story or two.
