Mr. Josh and I had yet another great urban paddle this morning. We put in at Enetai, just across the channel from Mercer Island and under the I-90 bridge. The wind was up so 30 lbs. of kevlar made it plain who the boss was. Once inside the Mercer Slough we had calm waters and Tifighter made huge strides on the technique front: sweeps, j-stroke, draws, braces, and even a boldly executed on-side bow pry! Wow!
After 3 miles on the slough tour we headed back into the wind and as Captain Frapperella knows so very well, it's a long fall off the couch. In Tifighter's case the impact was cushioned by the oh so soft water of Lake Washington. Luckily we were 50 feet from the take-out so the once and future king of the bow pry didn't have too far to swim.
In the end the worst thing that resulted from Tifighter's swim looks to be the previous paragraph.
Thanks for a good morning on the water Josh.

If this keeps up, Kaj's book of outdoor bloopers will be ready for press by the end of summer.
Mr Josh, welcome to the club!
Wait, we now have a label called 'couch fall'?
Argh, and swimming too...
