Yesterday, a small group took a long lunch and went for an urban paddling adventure. Canoes were the tool of choice. On the second half of the adventure, an entrance was found to what must be the Mines of Moria. So, naturally, the group paddled in. The point of personal return was reached after approximately 200 yards, but the tunnel went a lot further. Or at least that's the thought...it was scary dark in there.
More photos can be found on the HPA site; click here to see the thread.
This spot will be revisited in the coming weeks, but with better preparation. Early list of required items include headlamps, rope, a GPS (although underground, there is an idea that may make this work), crackers & cheese, and a shotgun (for zombies).

Everyone must believe in something. I believe I'll go canoeing.

Adventure awaits those who don't wait. Yesterday proved this to be the case. Fun outing.
